Lots of good stuff coming soon. We have had some technical issues but they wi be resolved by Monday with a huge update of the best things you have ever seen.
The Future of Extreme Sport Filming?
Im a bit of a nerd when it comes to technology stuff so when I saw this demo on Touch Arcade hundreds of applications ran through my head. From the little research I have done on this project I began thinking about its application in the filming world. Imagine if you will one of those Quadrocopters retrofitted with a full HD camera with some sort of stabilizer for a less jittery flight. The possibilities for elaborate shots are endless. With the iPhones ability to connect via wifi you could potentially shoot from any height at any angle with no dollys or cranes what so ever. The phone would allow you to see what you were filming and some programming and an application specific camera could create on screen controls for the user, making the possibility of changing settings while the Quadrocopter is still in the air, say, hovering at a starting point. Also, there is the potential for the Quadrocopter program to remember specific movements, allowing a user to set a start and a stop point for the copter allowing for the same shot, everytime, excluding the risk of human error. God damn, I wonder if these guys thought of all that… I better call the patent office…
Don’t drop the soup?
I’m a preet big fan of soup, it’s warm and delicious and good for the winter. I would also consider myself a pretty experienced souper, which I can only assume comes with age. My 10 year old sister on the other hand, lacks this experience. A couple of days ago I get a phonecall from my brother frantically asking me if I had heard what happene to Erica. I said no, hung up on him, and called my mom. They were already at the ER because apparently, soups a dangerous item. My sister had been eating a cup of noodles and spilled the whole cup on her bare foot, giving her a series of second degree burns. I felt terrible, she’s only a little kid and that sucks that 2 days before christmas she’s in the ER. Either way she seemed to have been taking it pretty well, hobbling around the house and was on enough Motrin to be relatively pain free all the time. But I still hadn’t seen the burns becuase of the bandages. Finally I caught a glimpse of her gross ass foot and the photo doesn’t even do it justice. This shit is gross. HUGE blister and all this dead skin… (the white stuff is the burn cream) So anyway, point of the story. My sister is tough as nails and soups fucking hazardous.
Merry Christmas.
This Man Is A Genius.
